Download was Amazing ^^, good stuff. Got up about 6:30.. now I was completely shocked at this cause I never knew this time existed :| yet it does... tho I dont reccomend it, its pretty dull. Got ready took the Towel thus protecting me from most dangers that could arrise like, rain, sun, Panda security (dont ask)... got dressed and kitted out taking a bag full of er...well Stuff... ran out the door remebered I had no clue what I was doing, ran back in the door tripped on the step smacked my head, got up and tried phoning Starky (the man with the plan)..... no answer... Bastydo planned the thing and completely cut himself off from any contact!... Had a bit of a think... Ran out the door again and headed for the train station... thus beggining the trip that brought me to the brink of insanity, towel shieldings from flying glass bottles and very Loud things.
It was all going great it really was, until Starky broke the unwritten rule of buying sweets for the journey... Big Kev and I were appauled offering him some of are own to balance out and correct the crime he was commiting, to no avail. After alot more confusion we finally discovered the train about to leave was ours... so got on it. I will now show you a picture of me sitting next to a bin for your pleasure...
Yes I do look a mess but come on I got up at 6:30 banged my head on the floor nearly left the iron on at the house so had to sprint back fearing burning the place down...and...well alot of other things to create the mess before you lol.... Train was packed hence the little camp we set up in the connecter section, lucky me got next to the bin lol... which was one step up from Kevs camp I suppose which was possitioned outside the train toilet....ewww... anyway! (just clearing something up lol cus Kev made a joke about this... those sweets im eating wasnt pilfered from the bin lol, I bought them before we set off ^^ lol) seemed to take us ages to actually get too Donnington which is either North, South, East or West from where we live.. suffice to say its a lost forgotten place over the mountains (Pennines) im not even sure its on the maps lol :S... arrived to the smell of finely cut drugs and alcohol wafting over from where a loud crashing and booming noise was coming, which we later discovered to be a kind of music. DownLoad was fecking amazing, thousands and thousands of people... even more drinks, a mosh pit that was slightly apprehensive untill the bands actually told them straight to make a mosh pit lol! bad stuff... usually the gigs Moshpits occur naturally but meh nvm.. SlipKnot had the biggest impression on me cus simply they were groovy and motivated the croud...Tho Korn was cool cause a bagpipe was played by the asthmatic singer ^^
Went for a wander through the stalls while some lesser bands started rocking out, tho you cant really get out of hearing distance with speakers the size of double decker busses. Went through the T-Shirt stalls and had a look at the communist t-shirts available Viva La Revolution! got lost, got confused, got tatoo'ed well for four weeks anyway... no idea how that happened...hmmm... well went back to the show listening to half of Pantera perform and hell all the other bands that were amazing... curse all those who never went!!! had a damn good time lol...
After all the bands had finished came the sticky business of getting home....uhhhhh... it took from 10pm too 6am the next day waiting for trains, riding trains, wandering about strange cities looking for chip shops, sleeping on train benches, wandering around more villages (Grindleford hahaha) looking for non existant drinks... It was the waiting that done it you see.... we started going insane cause of the lack of sleep (Id had none in quite a damn while) Laughing hysterically on the night trains scaring the other passangers were just a few things...
Anyways the whole thing Rocked and was extremely exhausting and cant wait till next time... think the next gigs on Wednesday, two days... the one afters friday... the next Monday... *deep breath*... yup should be good ^^
